Indoor Rowing

How to perform it

  1. Sit on the machine and place your feet on the footplates, adjusting the straps for stability.
  2. Hold the handle with both hands, keeping your spine upright and your abs engaged.
  3. Begin by pushing with your legs while keeping your arms extended at the start of the pull.
  4. When your legs are nearly extended, pull the handle toward your torso and drive your elbows backward.
  5. Return with control by extending your arms first and then bending your knees to reach the starting position.
  6. Maintain a continuous rhythm with coordination between your legs, arms, and torso throughout the movement.

Work in the legs, back, arms, and core throughout the movement. Progressive cardiovascular effort, without lower-back pain or loss of posture.
