Aerobic Lateral Step

How to perform it

  1. Stand with your feet together and your knees slightly bent.
  2. Step to the side with your right foot, then bring your left foot next to it.
  3. Repeat in the opposite direction.
  4. Maintain a steady rhythm throughout the movement and keep your knees soft without locking them.
  5. Swing your arms naturally in time with your steps to increase the aerobic intensity.
  6. Breathe regularly: inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth without holding your breath.

What you should feel

You should feel your heart rate increase and a mild burning sensation in the calves and abductors along the outer thighs. As the pace increases, it is normal to feel your body warming up progressively.
