Weighted Right Leg Raise

How to perform it

  1. Stand upright with your abs engaged and one hand supported on a stable structure to help with balance.
  2. Place the weight on the thigh or ankle of your right leg, depending on the equipment being used, and keep it firm and secure.
  3. Keep your left leg on the floor as the base of support, with the knee slightly bent.
  4. Raise your right leg forward with control against the resistance of the weight.
  5. Lift through a comfortable range of motion without leaning your torso excessively backward.
  6. Keep your core active throughout the movement to stabilize your body.
  7. Slowly return your right leg to the starting position without letting the weight slip or the leg drop.
  8. Exhale as you raise the leg and inhale as you return.
