Flat Dumbbell Bench Press

How to perform it

  1. Lie on a flat bench with your feet supported on the floor and a dumbbell in each hand at chest height.
  2. Keep your spine stable, abs engaged, and shoulder blades slightly retracted throughout the movement.
  3. Position your elbows bent at a comfortable angle without using excessive range of motion.
  4. Press the dumbbells upward until your arms are extended without letting the dumbbells touch at the top.
  5. Keep your wrists firm and the movement controlled throughout the ascent.
  6. Lower the dumbbells slowly to chest level through a comfortable and safe range of motion.
  7. Avoid losing back support on the bench or excessively flaring your elbows.
  8. Exhale as you press up and inhale as you lower.
