How to perform it

  1. Start with your knees on the floor and place your hands close together just below your chest, with your fingers pointing forward.
  2. Keep your body aligned from your knees to your head without letting your hips sag or rise excessively.
  3. Lower your chest toward your hands with control while keeping your elbows close to your body.
  4. Press the floor away to return to the starting position, fully extending your arms.
  5. Inhale as you lower and exhale as you press up, keeping your abs engaged throughout the movement.

You should feel an intense burning sensation in the back of your arms, in the triceps, especially during the pressing phase. The central chest will also work to support the movement.
